I'm Phil Lindblom.

I spent thirty-two years in the insurance industry, sitting with families while they made some of the most important decisions of their lives. I do the same thing now, for the one decision most people put off the longest.

I'm licensed in Oregon as a preneed salesperson and as an insurance producer. I work with families across Oregon and southwest Washington, in person or by phone and video, whichever is easier for you.

Nobody enjoys this conversation. I've found that people feel considerably better once it's behind them.

Straight answers, no pressure.

Here's how this works. Most people get partway through the worksheet and hit a question they can't answer on their own. That's normal, and it's what I'm here for.

When you're ready, we talk. Usually fifteen minutes is enough to get unstuck. There's no cost for that conversation and no obligation attached to it. If you decide preplanning isn't for you, or isn't for right now, that's a perfectly good answer.

If you do want to go further, I'll tell you exactly what that involves before you commit to anything.

Three reasons families plan ahead.

Your family isn't guessing. Every decision is already made, in writing, by you. They don't have to wonder what you would have wanted, and they don't have to argue about it.

The cost is settled. Arrangements made in advance are handled in advance. No one gets handed a bill during the week they're burying you.

It's off your mind. People tell me this is the part that surprises them. They expected to feel morbid. Mostly they feel relieved.
